PhotoUp is a US service with manual editing and a 24-hour turnaround. For European agents there is a faster, cheaper way that keeps the data in scope of the GDPR.

In short
PhotoUp is a US photo editing service, founded 2011 in Michigan, whose editors in the Philippines process photos manually within about 24 hours; plans run on a credit system from $49 per month for 50 credits, with single credits at $1.00 to $1.50. Immopix delivers AI-based results in about a minute, from €0.60 per image with no subscription, with EU hosting, GDPR data processing agreements, and an automated integrity check on every edit. For EU agents, the turnaround and the data path are usually the deciding factors.
PhotoUp is a US company for real estate photo editing, founded in 2011 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It employs more than 300 people, mainly in Cebu City in the Philippines, and serves over 3,000 customers, almost all of them US real estate photographers.
The business model: photographers upload images, editors in the Philippines process them manually in Photoshop and Lightroom, and results come back after about 24 hours. It is classic outsourcing, priced in credits: $49 per month buys 50, single credits run $1.00 to $1.50, and a dedicated editor costs $1,369 per month.
For US photographers with steady volume and no time pressure, the model works. For a European agency, three things stack up against it.
Turnaround. A 24-hour loop means the listing goes live two days after the shoot, and every revision costs another day. AI editing takes about a minute per photo, and in our 2026 study of over 6,000 real AI edits, 62 percent of photos were done after a single pass.
Currency and credits. USD plans with monthly credit allotments fit US accounting, less so a European agency with wave-shaped listing volume. Immopix sells one-time packs in euros, from €9.99 for 10 images, and the credits wait until you need them.
The data path. Your listing photos travel to the US and the Philippines for manual processing, with no public GDPR commitments. Immopix keeps the platform in Germany, holds data processing agreements with all subprocessors, and never uses your photos for AI training.

For a European agency doing the everyday work of listing photography, the combination of one-minute turnaround, euro pricing without subscriptions, and a clean GDPR story is the more rational setup.
