How do I place a piece of furniture in an exact spot?
With Place one piece you decide, during virtual staging, where one piece of furniture stands and how much space it takes in the photo. You draw the area it should cover and write what stands there. Immopix stages the rest of the room as usual, from the room type, the furniture style and your wishes.
When does this help?
It is made for furniture that has to fit exactly, above all wardrobes and shelves against a wall. Without a guide, the AI sometimes draws such a piece too flat against the wall, or it moves the wall out a little to make space. The room then looks wider than it is. With the drawn area, the AI knows how far the piece reaches into the room. In our tests the piece stood in the drawn spot. Its size was sometimes off, mostly in height and on the side facing the camera.
How it works
- Open the photo of the empty room and choose Presets and then Interior in the AI editing panel.
- Turn on Virtual staging and choose the room type, furniture style and your wishes as usual.
- Under Place one piece, click Draw the space on the photo.
- Draw the area the piece should cover in the photo, from the floor to its top edge. If you see the piece from the front, a Rectangle is usually enough. If it stands against a side wall, use Free form and set the corners the way the piece should look in the photo's perspective.
- Click Use this space and write under What stands here? what should stand there, for example “wardrobe, 60 cm deep”.
- Click Start editing.
How to draw the area
The AI works from the area you draw, so a careful outline pays off.
- Draw the area the piece covers in the photo, not its footprint on the floor.
- Think of the depth. A 60 cm deep wardrobe against a side wall also covers part of the back wall, so the front edge of the area sits 60 cm in front of the wall.
- Draw the area up to the top edge of the piece. A ceiling-high wardrobe reaches the ceiling.
- Each edit places one piece.
Improving a finished result
If a piece stands in the wrong place in a result, or the room looks wider than in the original, click Not good? Try again below the image. Under Is a piece in the wrong place, or does the room look wider? you draw the space. Immopix then stages the room again, with your earlier wishes and the piece in the drawn space.
If a piece in a finished result only needs to move a little, describe that in another edit under Custom edit, for example “Move the dining table a little to the right”.
What does not work?
Each edit places one piece. Several pieces at once are not possible yet. The feature cannot be used together with Match this photo.
Edit one spot is not made for this. It fixes a single spot in a finished image, but it does not reliably give a new piece of furniture its depth.
What does it cost?
Placing a piece costs nothing extra. The edit costs the same as any other virtual staging.
