How do I use the image editor?

Open a photo and click Edit below the image. In the image editor, you can crop the photo, highlight one area or combine both tools.

Crop a photo

1. Select Crop in the image editor.
2. Drag a rectangle over the part of the photo you want to keep.
3. Move the selection or adjust it using the handles on the corners and edges. On a phone, pinch with two fingers to zoom in.
4. Click Apply.

Immopix uses the cropped version everywhere the photo appears, including downloads and the exposé. A tight crop reduces the pixel dimensions of the finished image, so leave some room if you plan to use it in large-format print.

Highlight an area

Select Highlight. The selected area stays sharp while Immopix blurs and dims the surroundings. This can guide the viewer to the specific flat in an apartment building, a plot, a building or the parking space that comes with it.

For simple areas, Rectangle is the quickest option: drag the frame over the relevant part of the photo and adjust it using the handles.

For plots, buildings and other irregular areas, select Free form:

1. Click or tap each corner of the area in sequence.
2. Close the shape with Close area or by clicking the first point.
3. Move individual points until the shape fits. You can also move the entire area.
4. Click Apply.

Use Undo last point to correct the previous step. Start over clears the shape so you can redraw it.

For both shapes, you can adjust the Strength and the width and Color of the border. A rectangle also lets you change the roundness of its Corners. The preview shows the result directly on the photo.

Combine both tools

You can switch between Crop and Highlight without losing the other selection. Once both areas look right, click Apply once. Immopix saves the crop and highlight together.

Free and reversible

The image editor uses no credits and does not count as a revision. You can change the settings as often as you like without overwriting the underlying image version.

Remove crop deletes only the crop. Remove all manual edits deletes both the crop and the highlight. You then see the active image version without manual changes.

What happens when I start another AI edit?

Immopix uses the crop as the starting image for the next AI edit. The highlight itself, including the blur, dimming and border, is not included in the AI edit.
